District: U Hamma When I created my financial advisory company a few years ago, I noticed that success in my field is first measured by how convinced your client may be that you are the right person to handle his problem. I've joined Toastmasters as a means to become a more convincing and more effective advisor.

The most important thing I've learned in Toastmasters, after having served two years first as my club's VPPR then as President, is that the foundations to effective leadership are open communication and self-confidence to decide and act.

I can't imagine leaving Toastmasters because the top gets higher the more I climb : personal growth through communication and leadership is a never-ending process.

District: U Kateryna I joined Toastmasters for an exceptional spirit of mutually developing atmosphere, where people learn-by-doing public speaking and leadership skills. In Toastmasters I realized the importance for the leader to be be an inspirationally persuasive public speaker in order to demonstrate an example to follow. Toastimonials is a great chance to let people know that Toastmasters worldwide are open to everyone and everything.

District: 87 Henny Wahyuni I found Toastmasters information in a local tabloid and found out that it was a very useful activity to do on weekends, until I ended up with spending almost all my weekdays too for Toastmasters.

At first, I joined TM to learn how to communicate better, until I found that it is not only for communication, but also for enhancing my leadership potential in every aspect of my life. This is where I know that serving is the key of leading. Most importantly, in Toastmasters, we have a new BIG family, where not only camaraderie is offered, but also a family to help, support, and nurture.

I could see that many people remain a Toastmaster, as learning and helping others will never die in life. And by staying, we could keep learning, to the edge of our wish.

2. I've learned that learning the best skills in public speaking to me is not the most crucial part of being in Toastmasters, instead, it is how to listen to others.
3. There is no reason not to. I've been a part of this warm community that is both supportive and fun!

Toastmasters is a learning curve for everyone. We all bring something different to the meetings for others to emulate or not, as the case may be.
